CLIMATE CHANGE / GLOBAL WARMING – NATURAL VERSUS HUMAN CAUSES

A relatively simple calculation indicates that the human contribution (mostly from emission of carbon dioxide) to the increase in the global surface temperature of about 0.65 °C over the last 100 years is about 0.05 °C, i.e., about 8%. Geological historical climate data support the premise that nature (mostly cyclical sun-earth astronomical forces) dictates global climate and our current living in a warm interglacial period. Benefits and detriments of a warmer earth with more carbon dioxide are compared.
