Youth for the Environment and Sustainability (YES) Conference

Students from around the San Francisco Bay Area will join together to discuss transportation issues, learn how our personal decisions impact climate change, and share ways of encouraging everyone to walk, bike, take transit, or carpool to school in order to improve air quality in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Join us to learn, share knowledge and, most importantly, have fun! Check out our video of the 2015 YES Conference below to get a glimpse for what's in store. This year we are partnering with the Super Bowl 50 Sustainability committee to bring you an even better conference.

If you are a high school or middle school student in the San Francisco Bay Area you'll want to register to attend this FREE conference! Even better, sign up to present at the conference and you could be awarded one of four YES Conference Presenter Awards in the following categories:

• Outstanding Youth Leadership Award
• Breakthrough Alternative Transit Project Award
• Breakthrough Air Quality Project Award
• Best Use of Environmental Science Award

Students are strongly encouraged to share their work and come present at the YES Conference. Submit a presentation proposal and share your environmental sustainability work and ideas, such as projects completed in class, group or individual projects, or other innovative initiatives you are involved in!

The YES conference is FREE and breakfast and lunch will be provided. We encourage you to walk, bike, carpool or take transit to the YES Conference. Take BART to the Downtown Berkeley station and hop on our free shuttle to the Lawrence Hall of Science. Additional shuttles will be provided from the North Bay and the South Bay to accommodate students with limited transit options. Don't drive by yourself! Complete details on shuttle stops and schedules will be provided soon.

All conference participants are required to complete and submit the YES Conference 2016 Waiver. Download the form (available on the top, left of this page) and be sure to bring it with you. Use the Adult waiver if you are over 18, or the Minor waiver if you are under 18. Minors must have their waivers signed by a parent or guardian.

All conference participants will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes!
