'The Universe of Galaxies and STEM Research Opportunities for Young People'

The talk will be about how the basic elements of life on Earth were created inside the stars, the Science Internship Program, the Global SPHERE Network, and the importance of engaging young people in real STEM research projects outside the traditional classroom.

Enjoy a free public stargazing after the talk at the Montgomery Hill Observatory of Evergreen Valley College from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Facility has an 8 inch refractor telescope in a dome observatory, 14 inch SC telescope in a roll off roof observatory and several other telescopes set out for the public. Please note that stargazing is a weather dependent event.
