Get to Know Your Brain - a Free, Fun Neuroscience Event for All Ages
Samuel Merritt University (SMU) invites the public to a free Expo- "Get to Know Your Brain!". The Expo will feature fun interactive exhibits to test and learn about your brain. Guest scholars will discuss how to keep the brain fit, the effects of meditation, and strategies to prevent lower back pain.
The goal of the one day event is to increase the public's knowledge of the power of the brain, promote brain health and inspire kids to learn more about the fascinating field of neuroscience.
This fun and informative exposition to learn about the brain is the creation of a neuroscientist at Samuel Merritt University. "Our goal is to engage and inspire people of all ages about the amazing brain and how it plays an important role in everything we do," said Barb Puder PhD, associate professor of neuroscience. "Through fun and interactive exhibits students, teachers and community members can all learn how to make lifestyle choices that promote brain health and improve the quality of their lives."
The free event is part of Samuel Merritt University's mission to serve its community by providing valuable information that promotes quality lifestyles and works to reduce healthcare disparities.
SMU neuroscience students will facilitate hands-on exhibits. Guest speakers will share the latest research in their fields.
