BayCon 2016: All About Space
The 34th Bay Area Science Fiction convention's theme is "All About Space" in fact and in Fiction. The convention runs May 27 thru May 30. Among the science talks offered are:
Black Holes and Interstellar: Spacewarps and Time Travel in Science and Fiction by Andrew Fraknoi, Foothill College
Strange New Worlds, a panel with Michael Busch (SETI) , Sanjoy Som (Ames Research Center) and Keri Bean (Jet Propulsion Labs) on the recent exploration of the solar system, including Mars, Ceres, and newly-discovered near-Earth asteroids
