Point Reyes, Ranching, and the Fate of Our Public Lands

Point Reyes National Seashore is symbolic of the state of our national parklands in 2016, the centennial of the National Park Service. On one hand, the seashore is a triumph of preservationist effort, and on the other, Point Reyes is beset by all the problems facing national parks as they enter their second century: underfunding, commercialization, beleaguered leadership, low staff morale, mission drift, climate change, and an accelerating campaign by Western cattlemen and Eastern oil billionaires to privatize public lands.

Join panelists Chance Cutrano of the Resources Renewal Institute, wildlife photographer Daniel Dietrich, and Ken Brower of the Earth Island Institute, for a talk on the future of the Bay Area's national park.

An audience Q & A will follow the panel doscussion
