We Are Stardust
Where does the iron in your blood come from? The calcium in the bones of the coyote? The gold in California mines? "We are stardust" is explained.
Excitement for the whole family! Participate in hands-on astronomy activities followed by supervised observing through the many different telescopes of MDAS members. See stars, nebulae, galaxies, clusters, the moon and planets through member telescopes. Bring kids, binoculars, warm clothes (temperature can drop), snacks, water. No need for a flashlight but if you must bring one cover it in red plastic. Escorted exit several times during the evening through Northgate entrance.
Astronomy program is weather dependent including high fire danger.
