Biohacking Academy: Plasmid Design and Online Databases
Ever wondered how GMO's are created or wanted to embrace your mad scientist side?
Well, now you can! This lecture series at Counter Culture Labs, Oakland's community lab, will teach you the basics of synthetic biology then let you in the lab to try the techniques yourself.
In this class you will learn the basics of designing plasmids on your computer. Also, get an introduction to useful online databases.
This series of classes is strongly recommended for anyone who wants to learn how to work independently in the wetlab. There will be 5 lecture classes on Monday evenings, and 4 lab sessions on Sunday mornings, starting July 31.
