'Are you Solar Powered ?' Public Astronomy Program On Mt Diablo

Please join Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for the July 9th. astronomy program.

Discover the real power of the Sun. 

Excitement for the whole family! Participate in hands-on astronomy activities followed by supervised observing through the many different telescopes of MDAS members. See stars, nebulae, galaxies, clusters, the moon and planets through member telescopes. Bring kids, binoculars, warm clothes (temperature can drop), snacks, water. No need for a flashlight but if you must bring one cover it in red plastic. Escorted exit several times during the evening through Northgate entrance.

Arrive at 7:30 to safely view the Sun through telescopes. View planets, moons and stars after the sun sets.

Enter the park at least 45 minutes early

Astronomy program is weather dependent including high fire danger.
