Current Good Laboratory Practices (CGLP)

An introduction to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and its regulations for current Good Laboratory Practices. Concepts and in-dustry best practices will be presented within the context of lab work associated with pre-clinical studies and validation of experimental meth-ods. The course will provide a broad overview (in one-day) and is ideal for entry-level technicians new to the industry, technical personnel moving into a cGLP regulated environment, and research scientists and engineers who want an overview of FDA stand-ards. Professionals in other areas of biotechnology, such as human re-sources and management, would also benefit from this course. Real-life examples of cGLP noncompliance will be used to illustrate these regula-tions.
