Cellphone Macro Photography of Insects
Are you interested doing close-up (macro) photography but don't have a fancy camera? On Damon Tighe, a local macro photographer, will be running a workshop at the Rotary Nature Center in Oakland on how to use your cell phone's camera and some relatively inexpensive lenses to do amazing macro photography of insects. We will cover how to find subjects, how to get the sharpest image possible and some tips and tricks around lighting subjects. This is a hands-on workshop with most of the time spent outside photographing the small organisms we can find. Macro lenses can be rented for a $10 deposit during the workshop, or purchased for $10.
