Get Ready for the Great American Eclipse! - an ASP Teachers Workshop

On August 21, 2017, the Moon will pass directly in front of the Sun, a phenomenon viewable throughout the country!  While the path of the total solar eclipse passes through Oregon, observers in northern California will experience from a 75 to 90 percent partial solar eclipse.  At a time when many schools are in session!

Learn how you can take advantage of this spectacular teachable moment, and engage your class and community in investigating and experiencing the eclipse at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific Great American Eclipse Workshop.  Workshop sessions will actively engage participants in an NGSS storyline approach to understanding the how and why of both solar and lunar eclipses.

Registration: Includes a 1-year complimentary membership in the ASP, The Universe at Your Fingertips 2.0, and a mini-kit of eclipse activity materials)
