Linking Stormwater Collection to Managed Aquifer Recharge: Mapping, Modeling, Measurement, and Monetization
As the demand for freshwater increases, stormwater becomes a truly valuable resource. Management of stormwater will be vital in the coming years as land use and vegetation changes, and precipitation becomes more intense. While making water management a serious challenge, California’s ongoing drought also provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Andy Fisher, along with his students and colleagues, works with landowners and government agencies to identify locations where stormwater can contribute to groundwater recharge.
Join him as he discusses how water quality and water supply can be improved simultaneously through managing groundwater recharge. It could be our future!
