Brain and Body Nightlife

Neurons

Feed your brain and body this week as NightLife explores the fascinating world of human health and wellness.

In African Hall, join Dr. Stanley Riddell of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for a mind-expanding talk on his important and innovative work in fighting cancer by strengthening the immune system. Treat your mind and body to yoga sessions around the museum with Yoga Tree instructors: Roll out your mat in “space,” in front of our Philippine Coral Reef, or in the Piazza accompanied by the ambient tunes of DJ Magic Touch. *Got your own yoga mat? Bring it!

At the Project Lab, researchers from the Gladstone Institutes talk about how they’re fighting diseases using cutting-edge science and technology. Meet reps from the Stanford University Postdoctoral Association (SURPAS) and learn how yoga might be an effective treatment for PTSD and how taking advantage of the city’s green spaces can positively affect mental and physical health.
