Climate Change: Time Running Out

Climate change has been characterized by many as the ultimate challenge of humanity. First discovered over a century ago, global climate change was first popularized in 1989 by James Hansen, a climatologist formerly at NASA. In the over 25 years since, the physical consequences of climate change have gotten progressively worse. At the same time, a diminishing yet powerful number of Americans continue to deny that climate change is man-made or that it is a societal problem at all.

In this lecture, Gary White, a climate activist who was trained by former vice president Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project organization, will discuss the causes of climate change, highlight the increasingly severe consequences of the problem, and outline the current and future technologies and policies to address the problem. Come learn more about climate change and what you can do as an individual personally and politically in this increasingly dangerous political environment.
