Native Uses and Management of Plants and Habitats

Join ACR Education Specialist Dave Self for an introduction to some of the useful plants of the season. You’ll also learn how our landscapes were shaped by reciprocal relationships between the Wappo and local plants and habitats. One important interaction was intentional burning, which generated wildflower crops and lush browse for deer and other wildlife. We’ll also talk about ACR’s Mountain Lion Project and Fire Ecology Program.
