Meet at Sea Breeze Deli, S. side of University Ave. at W. Frontage Rd., just west of I-80 -- plenty of parking, and easily reached by bicycle or AC Transit 81 or 51B. Feel free to bring binocs to see wintering waterforl or a camera to snap photos for the California King Tides Project (http://californiakingtides.net/).
Easy, level, 2-mi. walk, but some trails may be slippery, muddy, or flooded. We walk rain or shine! Dress for changing weather, including wool or similar socks and water-resistant footgear. Warm drinks, snacks, or lunch available at Sea Breeze Deli. Co-sponsored by Friends of Five Creeks and Berkeley Path Wanderers Assn. Info: f5creeks@gmail.com. Free, no RSVP needed.
