Birding for Beginners at Oakland's Middle Harbor Shoreline Park

Can't tell a snowy egret from a snowy plover? Over one million birds make their way through San Francisco Bay as they migrate south for the winter, and Oakland's beautiful Middle Harbor Shoreline Park is a perfect place to learn about them! 

Join us for an easy two mile walk along this restored habitat and learn how to spot and identify our native shorebirds in a welcoming and easy environment. Bring your own binoculars or share one of ours. We'll also have a spotting scope!
