Astronomy on Tap Santa Cruz - Planets: Inside and Out

Join us for our inaugural Astronomy on Tap. We will begin mingling on the 2nd floor beginning at 6:00pm.

The theme for our kick-off will be “Planets: Inside and Out”. We’ll hear from Professor Jonathan Fortney, Director of UCSC’s Other Worlds Laboratory, as well as graduate student researchers Diana Powell and Chris Mankovich on their latest research into the atmospheres of giant planets in our solar-system and beyond.

The fun continues with happy hour drink prices, games, quizzes, and swag! Our events are meant for the general public, so please bring your curiosity, questions, and love for space.

The event is free of charge and open to all ages 21+.
