Alcatraz Gardens Class Series: Garden Tour & Propagating Succulents

Join Shelagh Fritz, Gardens of Alcatraz horticulturist, on a historic garden tour to explore the succulents that thrive on the island. Participants will then learn how to make cuttings and propagate their own plants.

Please plan to check in at Pier 33 (Alcatraz Landing) no later than 8 am to take the first ferry over to the island (map and parking link). Class will finish at 11:30 am and participants can return to the Pier on any ferry (return ferry schedule here). Those who register for this class DO NOT have to buy a ferry ticket; a ticket and all the materials you need for the workshop is included in the cost of the workshop. Please dress for the variable weather of the island--bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.
