Stephen Hawking on Nearly Talking about God: Is it true that 'science can now answer all former philosophical questions'?

In his book The Grand Design, Stephen Hawking says that philosophy is dead, and science can now answer all life's ultimate questions. I argue that he is actually doing philosophy, and that his view of an ultimate explanation for the universe is remarkably similar to classical theism, even to the extent of suggesting that without mind, matter cannot exist.
