Nightlife Spotlight

Meet some of our brightest young scientific minds as NightLife celebrates the best of the Academy with an evening of after-hours science inside the greenest museum on the planet.

This month, learn about the Academy’s Institute for Biodiversity Science and Sustainability, home to more than 100 research scientists and 46 million scientific specimens from around the world.

Learn about some of the current research projects and passions of just a few of our incredible post-doc students, including nudibranchs, scorpions, mosquito-borne viruses, corals, sea biscuits, scientific illustration, and more.

Try to stump a panel of scientists with a special science-themed parody of everybody’s favorite NPR game show called “Wait Wait…Don’t Cite Me!”

Plus, get up close and personal with some fascinating specimens from the scientific collections during Unlocked Art Lab, an illustration workshop with artist Tiffany Bozic.

Don’t miss two more special screenings of NightLife’s new art and music experience, Vortex 2.0, in the Morrison Planetarium.
