AIAA Annual Banquet on the USS Hornet

A great occasion to visit this prime historic Aerospace Engineering Landmark of the SF Bay Area: the local AIAA section will be hosting its annual banquet aboard the USS Hornet! The US Navy aircraft carrier USS Hornet picked up the crew of Apollo 11. This is a great event to bring your family and friends, and the astronauts, pilots and aerospace engineers of the next generation!

During this banquet, we will have our annual awards ceremony, a talk by Jonathan Barlow (NASA Ames) about the Astrobee, the new class of free-flying robots aboard the ISS as well as docent-led tours on the ship.
