ELECTRONS IN NANOSTRUCTURES
David Goldhaber-Gordon, Stanford, studies how electrons organize themselves and flow on the nanoscale. He will discuss how in such submicron devices, quantum effects and electron interactions are important, which confounds intuitions gleaned from larger-scale electronics and opens new regimes of physics.
