Hunting By Habitat. Recognizing Opportunities For Mushroom Foraging In California

Kingman will talk about seasonal mushroom hunting from the coast to the mountains to the urban landscape. Edible and fascinating fungi can be found year round in California if you know where to look. This talk will be geared towards the beginner who wants to learn more about mushroom foraging and SOMA activities. Kingman will discuss how to look for mushrooms and what to do with mushrooms when you find them. Seasoned mushroom hunters will enjoy this talk also and are encouraged to participate.
Kingman will also be discussing SOMA’s future involvement with the North American Mycoflora Project and how people can help.
