Healthy Soil, Healthy Plants: Microbiome Magic - SOLD OUT
Let’s get dirty! Join UC Berkeley Soil Scientists and Pivot Bio’s microbial scientists at the UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley and expand your knowledge of your garden’s soil microbiome. The microbiome is an intricate network of microbes that live in the soil and interact with your plants. You’ll leave with some tips on how to cultivate healthy soils and a deep appreciation for the complex interactions at the root of living things.
A panel of microbiologists from the UC Berkeley and local agricultural start-up Pivot Bio including Alvin Tamsir, Ronald Amundson, and Franz Bender will be led by moderator and UC Berkeley Professor Lew Feldman.
Doors open at 6:00 pm.
