The Invasive Death Cap Mushroom And Its Defensive Arsenal

Not all mushrooms are meant to be ingested, because they contain a very deadly toxin known as amatoxin (or amanitin). Rapid detection of the toxin may help foragers or clinicians to know when they have encountered one type of deadly mushroom and to take the appropriate next steps. We will present our work in developing a rapid, sensitive, and portable tool to detect amatoxins.
