David Belk, MD on the True Cost of Healthcare

Alameda-based doctor David Belk will be presenting the findings of his investigation into high drug prices. The drug price crisis, specifically around insulin, has already claimed many lives, and it is one of the main motivations for Counter Culture Labs' Open Insulin project, which aims to develop low-cost, small-scale technology to manufacture insulin and other biologic drugs, so we look forward to learning a lot about how our work can address a very pressing problem.
