How Climate Change affects our Water

For the water-starved western United States, moisture flows known as “atmospheric rivers,” are both important sources of water and causes of devastating floods. Climate change is projected to warm atmospheric rivers, turning snow into rain, which could impact our infrastructure and water resources for years to come. However, this is not merely a future problem if atmospheric rivers are already warming.
