Marine Science Sunday: Creatures of the Deep
This month we celebrate Halloween with a creepy collection of stories about the animals that live in the deepest parts of the ocean! Learn how elephant seal's can dive to 5000 feet and stay underwater for 2 hours at a time without imploding (!), find out how a sperm whale searches for its nemesis - the mysterious giant squid, and discover more about spooky looking animals like the Vampire Squid and Goblin Shark.
FREE Classroom Programs: Creatures of the Deep- 12 PM and 2 PM (45 minute sessions)
Join The Marine Mammal Center for for an interactive presentation on the Creatures of the Deep, highlighting the animals that live in the darkness like elephant seals, sperm whales and vampire squid. Sessions are held in the Center's classroom at 12pm and 2pm. A great complement to the Guided Tour!

Learn fascinating facts about seals and sea lions from our education experts while seeing exhibits and patient viewing areas. (*Small fee applies, it helps our patients!).
