California plans to be carbon neutral by 2045 and have 7 million climate-ready homes by 2035. For many buildings, this won’t be easy: decarbonizing will require upgrades to electrical service and/or panels across all 7 million of these buildings. Reaching the state’s ambitious targets will be nearly impossible unless energy providers can deliver electrical service upgrades quickly and affordably. Come learn what triggers service upgrades; the cost in money and time; and how utilities, the Public Utilities Commission and electrification programs can make the process as painless as possible.
