Breathless: Catie and the Robot

Come watch a stunning performance by dancer/choreographer/engineer Catie Cuan and artist/researcher Ken Goldberg, in which Catie dances with an industrial robot arm. This piece is an appreciation of the work performed by humans every day, contrasting the beauty, strength, and frailty of the human body with the relentless precision of machinery. 

Breathless: Catie and the Robot was created by Catie Cuan and Ken Goldberg, and performed by Catie Cuan and a UR5e industrial robot arm. Breathless features a mix of existing music (full list of musical artists on the Breathless credits website) and original compositions by Peter Van Straten. Ethan Qui and Shreya Ganti are the robotics engineers and the robot motion consultants. David Imani is production coordinator and the work was originally curated by Elena Park.
