Antimatter: Understanding and Exploration

Berkeley physicists seeking to pierce a mystery as old as the universe joined an international team of scientists on November 18th, 2010 to report they had trapped and stored a few dozen atoms of antimatter.

Join us for an evening of conversation Professor Joel Fajans as he discusses his team's recent success in trapping antimatter.  Joel Fajans is father of two Black Pine Circle School students, a physicist at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Professor of physics at UC Berkeley, and a member of a physics team at CERN (in Geneva) called the Antihydrogen Laser Physics Apparatus, or APLHA.  This event will be moderated by Doug McConnell from Bay Area Backroads.

Black Pine Circle School will present this Parent and Public Education Evening, "Antimatter: Understanding and Exploration," on Tuesday, January 25th, 7:30-9:00pm, in the Black Pine Circle School Library.
