A Dash of Climate Hope: Impactful Climate Actions - Livestream
Let's inspire people to take action on climate through a focus on solutions and hope, rather than a sole focus on climate impacts and fear. Get a dose of optimism as we share climate solutions happening around the world that provide the sense of empowerment and agency we need to tackle the climate issue. Since 2020, The Marine Mammal Center has served as the fiscal sponsor for NNOCCI, one of the largest climate change communication training programs globally. As part of our Network since its inception, we are incredibly grateful to be aligned with The Center, which is the world's largest marine mammal hospital, and a leading example of how impactful climate communication can help the public see themselves as heroes in the story for these animals. Led by Adam Ratner, the Director of Conservation Engagement for The Marine Mammal Center, this webinar will explore the following themes in this engaging webinar: 1) The power of hope messaging over fear messaging 2) Scientifically-tested communication strategies around climate change 3) A big dose of optimism! William Watkinson once said “It is better to light a candle, than to curse the darkness.” Let’s take this opportunity to bring together colleagues and shine a big light on all the good that is happening. Let’s amplify the sounds of positive actions and policies that provide the hope we need to create impactful climate conversations.
