Primate Morality

Are we biologically wired to be moral? Esteemed primatologist Frans de Waal (Our Inner Ape, Chimpanzee Politics) shares highlights from pioneering research showing that our moral nature stems from our primate social emotions, evidenced by chimpanzees who soothe distressed neighbors and bonobos who offer companions their own food. Frans de Waal has been named among Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People. His new book is The Bonobo and the Atheist: In Search of Humanism Among the Primates.
