Fixing San Francisco's Soft-Story Buildings

An estimated 3,000 San Francisco apartment buildings have a "soft-story" condition, meaning that the ground floor is weak, leaving it vulnerable to damage or even collapse in an earthquake. San Francisco, however, is moving forward with a groundbreaking program to help make these buildings safer. Come discuss how soft-story buildings should be retrofitted to make San Francisco's housing stock safer and more resilient.
