Film & Discussion: 'An Ecology of Mind'

Nora Bateson is the youngest daughter of a famous anthropologist, systems thinker and social scientist, Gregory Bateson, who delighted in exploring with his children at an early age the way people think and the way the world works.
As a result, Nora grew up with a keen sense of the importance of observing the inter-relationships between people and their environment and between all elements of the environment, as well as an appreciation for the power of story.
As an adult, she specialized in media and film making and has now created a beautiful documentary, An Ecology of Mind, which exquisitely captures the essence of her father's thought and teachings.
In short, 'Everything is Connected' and 'Relationships are More Important than Things'. The message of this film is fundamental to the way we approach the future of humanity on this planet, and the way we approach the planet itself.
Please join us for this special event, the launch of An Ecology of Mind in the Bay Area, where Gregory Bateson spent much of his life, and a chance to meet his daughter, a woman who represents a rare clarity on how the world works.
Tickets are available now at the Albany Twin box office and online. Nora will stay after to talk to the audience.
