Last year Thrun kicked off MOOC-mania and made history by offering his Stanford Artificial Intelligence class to an unprecedented 160,000 students and sparked a discussion about the future of education. In collaboration with San Jose State University, his company Udacity was the first to offer MOOCs for college credit, at one-tenth the current tuition cost.
