Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) from Hydrocarbon-Based Power Projects

Eric Redman is the Co-Chairman of Summit Power Group, and the President and CEO of its subsidiary, Summit Carbon Capture, which focuses on CO₂ capture, including for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).  He helps lead Summit's efforts on coal gasification with carbon capture, including the Texas Clean Energy Project (TCEP), and carbon capture from natural gas and other technologies.  He works with several national environmental groups on climate matters, and leads Summit's carbon capture projects abroad, including the proposed Caledonia IGCC plant included in the Captain Clean Energy Project, a TCEP replica in Scotland.  Mr. Redman formerly chaired the Clean Energy Technology group at a major international law firm.  He was a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Warren Magnuson (D-WA) and wrote The Dance of Legislation, a best-selling account of Congressional enactment of the National Health Service Corps.  He was educated at Harvard College, Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar), and Harvard Law School.  He was chosen for Best Lawyers in America for energy matters in 2007, 2008, and 2009.  He is active in a variety of wildlife conservation organizations, the Methow Conservancy (a land trust), and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Gasification Technologies Council (GTC) Board of Directors.
