Naturalist 101: Birding Basics

Colorful, crafty, swift, and musical-birds are overhead and in our backyards-playing a major role in our ecosystem. There are songbirds, shorebirds, raptors and more. So what are you really seeing and hearing? Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day by learning the essentials of how to identify these amazing animals in this two-hour workshop. Learn key techniques indoors and then trek outside to practice your skills in Golden Gate Park, where more than 200 species of migrant and resident birds have been seen over the years. Binoculars are available for borrowing. For adults and families with children ages 10 and up.

You will not be able to enter at the front entrance for this program. Please go to the back of the building and enter at the business reception desk.
