The Myth of the “Homeless-Industrial Complex - Livestream

Despite spending billions of dollars to combat homelessness, California has the largest and fastest-growing homeless population in the United States. To explain this result, some have blamed wasteful collusion between government and nonprofits to enrich themselves without ever intending to end homelessness. But this over-simplistic conspiracy theory not only ignores some very real problems in the government and nonprofit sectors, but actively sabotages efforts to resolve them.
