The three-day Big Ideas Fest is an immersion into collaboration and design with the focus on inspiring and modeling cutting-edge thinking in K-20 education.  Big Ideas Fest is the starting point for a movement that supports innovation in education at a time when the need to accelerate high-quality learning is truly essential for our country and our future. The goal of this unique three-day meeting of experts and creative doers and thinkers is to spotlight, challenge and change the ways in which education can be made relevant to learning in the post-industrial world. We aim to to increase relevance of education while placing learning at the front and center of all that we do. 

What exactly is the Big Ideas Fest?

1. Three extraordinary days of inspiring presentations.
2. Action Collabs, small high-energy workshops that engage participants to focus on inventive ways to break down educational challenges and provide tools and exercises to brainstorm and develop viable solutions at school, state, and national levels. Read about the 'Action Collabs', in which teams work together to actually design and prototype real-world innovations in education.
3. Networking with other dedicated education enthusiasts next to the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean.
4. A social media-inspired event, that is a platform for creating and capturing stories, performances, video, micro-blogging, podcasts, and so on.
5. One heck of a lot of fun!
