Casting Call for The Tech Challenge Video Workshop and Gallery

The Tech Museum is creating something new and exciting - The Tech Challenge Video Workshop and Gallery. Based on our popular signature program The Tech Challenge, this will be a place where kids will learn about a scientific concept, and then star in a video demonstrating what they've learned. Their video may even become part of the gallery exhibits!

To get this exciting project started, we need the help of some enthusiastic kids who want star in their own videos, so we're announcing a series of Casting Calls. These videos will be featured at my.thetech.org, and may even be seen in our new The Tech Challenge gallery!

This is a brand new experiment for us, so in addition to having a great time and making their own video, your kids will be helping to shape the way The Tech Museum inspires the innovator in everyone.

These workshops are free of charge, and are open for kids from third through twelfth grades. Please note that each Casting Call is a video workshop, and we hope is to use all the videos produced in our newest gallery. This means that your child's image will be in the public domain, and part of an exhibit that is on-going and currently under development. If you do not want your child's image to be used by The Tech Museum, please do not sign up for a Casting Call.

Prior to filming, parents or guardians must sign a photo/video release form, and acknowledge that The Tech Museum can use the video for display in the gallery, in future workshops aligned with the gallery, or as an online video loop promoting the new gallery and the Tech Challenge.

If you are interested in coming to a Casting Call, please pick one date from the list below and RSVP with the child's name, age and grade level as well as the name of the parent or guardian who will be accompanying the child to the Casting Call.
