Chat With a Scientist: Russell Hartman
The research collections at the Academy of Sciences contain not only specimens of animals from all over the world, but also artifacts from a variety of human cultures and societies, some of which date far into the past. These collections provide insight into the many ways humans have adapted to and thrived within the various environments of Earth. As the Collections Manager for Anthropology, Russell Hartman oversees the care of and research into these important objects. Join us for a lively discussion of his work – including his ongoing exploration of Navajo and other Native American cultures – and see some of his favorite items from the collection!
Reservations: Free with museum admission. Seating is limited and available on a first come first served basis. This is a non-ticketed event.
