Meet John Edmark: Artist-in-residence and creator of The Geometron
One of the featured artists in our current Geometry Playground exhibition, John Edmark, has created The Geometron, a mesmerizing visual treat. This seminar will include a presentation and discussion where Edmark will share some of his intriguing design creations. He'll then introduce participants to The Geometron in the Geometry Playground exhibition area.
Watch a short video interview with John Edmark on our Geometry Playground Artists-in-Residence page. In this video, Edmark explains his interest in unexpected natural phenomena and how visitors can interact with The Geometron exhibit.
Edmark has taught a wide variety of courses in the Design program of the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University since 2003. His art and design pursuits range from organically inspired cellular and kinetic works to products for storage, kitchen, and creative play. He is named inventor on nine U.S. and foreign utility patents.
