Bina Venkataraman is the Director of Global Policy Initiatives at the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard, and a lecturer in MIT's Program of Science, Technology, and Society. She previously served as Senior Advisor for Climate Change Innovation in the Obama White House, and is a former journalist for The New York Times and The Boston Globe. Her book, The Optimist's Telescope: Thinking Ahead in a Reckless Age was published in September 02019.
