SalmonAID's Salmon Cinema and Storytelling Circle

The Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival joins the Salmon Month celebration at Aquarium of the Bay with a special Salmon Cinema & Storytelling Circle program.

The largest environmental film festival in North America will screen some of the most compelling and dramatic films that bring our wild salmon crisis into focus. From communities in Bristol Bay, Alaska fighting mining operations proposed in the headwaters of the world's strongest salmon rivers to grassroots salmon restoration efforts closer to home, these films put the salmon crisis-and the opportunities for salmon restoration-into a political, ecological, and cultural context.

In addition to the films, indigenous leaders will offer stories - both traditional salmon lore and tales of modern-day healing and collaboration for salmon recovery.

The evening will be followed by a cocktail reception, taking place throughout the Aquarium.

Space is limited.
