Special Space Shuttle Discovery Launch Program

On Nov. 3, 2010, the space shuttle Discovery will launch from the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:53 p.m. PDT. The STS-135 mission will deliver and install the Permanent Multipurpose Module, the Express Logistics Carrier 4 and provide critical spare components to the International Space Station. This will be the 35th shuttle mission to the station.
NASA Ames will host a special program for visitors at the NASA Exploration Center at Noon. The program includes exclusive presentations and the opportunity to view the launch on the large, immersive theater. Presentations include a talk by former space shuttle pilot and commander Bo Bobko who will explain to the audience what the astronauts are doing during the final phases of the shuttle countdown.
