Art, Ecology, Poetry: Playing with Facts, Fact-Checking Creativity - Livestream

Sometimes information isn’t enough. Facts don’t always engage people in the ecological or environmental questions of our time. Sensory experiences, memories, humor, and cultural knowledge can be just as important as numbers or statistics when it comes to mattering to people not versed in scientific language or drawn to empirical numbers. At the same time, it’s important to hold true to the nuances of hard-earned science and not play fast and loose with findings. Elizabeth Bradfield will share how, in her creative work, she engages heart and body with scientific knowledge.

Speaker: Elizabeth Bradfield, Writer/Naturalist, Brandeis University
