Berkeley Recycling Center Tour

In honor of National Recycling Day, also known as America Recycles Day, the EPA recognizes the importance and impact of recycling, which has contributed to American prosperity and the protection of our environment.

The Ecology Center is hosting a tour of the Berkeley Recycling Center. Join us Saturday, September 14, 2026, from 10 am ??" 12 pm for a tour of the facility, followed by a Q&A.

Discover the magic of recycling as we explore the facility’s inner workings. Let’s go beyond the curb and uncover how materials are transformed into valuable resources. While we can’t rely on recycling alone to solve the plastics crisis, it is an essential bridge to a circular economy. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about this important system. Space is limited; don’t miss out on this fun and educational experience!
